Ancient Coinage of Thrace, Hadrianopolis



Hadrianopolis, Thrace, now Edirne, Turkey, was developed and renamed by Hadrian. Situated near the Greek (7 km) and Bulgarian (20 km) borders. Modern destructive development has left practically nothing of the ancient city.
