Ancient Coinage of Pisidia, Kremna

Kremna, on a high plateau above the Cestrus River, struck a few coins under King Amyntas, before becoming a Roman colony in 25 BC. The first colonial coins were struck under Hadrian and continued until the death of Aurelian. The town was abandoned in the Middle Ages, identified in 1874 and excavations began in 1970.
