Moesia inferior, Dionysopolis, Gordian III Pick 392 Gordian III AD 238-244 AE 25, 11.23g obv. M ANTW GORDIAN[OC AYG] confronted busts of Gordian III r. and Serapis l. exergue: AYT K rev. DION - Y - C - OPOL / EITWN tetrastyle temple with trigonal pediment, decorated with hemisphere, on both corners of the crenulated roof floral elements(?) as acroteria. In the middle intercolumnium statue of Dionysos, nude, stg.l., with Thyrsos, r. hand stretched out to panther, which jumped up to him. in r. field E (for Pentassarion) Pick 392 very rare, about VF Varbanov 582; Moushmov 134.
