During the entire period of their campaign against Vologases III, the Romans struck in Mesopotamia, very probably in Carrhae, silver denarii with Greek legends, similar to those struck during the same period at the mint in Caesarea in Cappadocia, with reverses borrowed from Roman imperial coins.
