Tetradrachm (24mm, 16.99 gm). Uncertain 
Babylonian mint. Struck under Seleucis I, circa 
311-305 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing 
lion's skin headdress / Zeus seated left, 
holding eagle and sceptre; D I and anchor 
before, monogram under throne. Price 3449 (same 
obverse die); Müller 1512; SC 293 (same dies).

Houghton, in Seleucid Coins, attributes this 
issue to Uncertain mint 6A in Babylonia. He 
dates it probably to circa 311-305, on the basis 
that it is an 'anchor Alexander', but he notes 
that "it cannot be convincingly related to any 
other 'anchor Alexanders'" of this period.
