PTOLEMAIC KINGDOM. Ptolemy I Soter, as king. (305/4–282 BC). Silver 
tetradrachm (15.67 gm). Alexandria, Ca. 301 BC. Head of deified 
Alexander right with horn of Ammon, wearing mitra, elephant 
headdress, and aegis / AËEÎANÄÑOÕ, Athena Alkis advancing right, 
brandishing spear in right hand and holding shield on left arm, in 
right field Corinthian helmet above AX monogram above eagle standing 
right on thunderbolt. Svoronos 162. SNG Copenhagen 28. For date, see 
Lorber, NC 2005. Some slight irregularity on obverse and reverse due 
to overstriking. Struck on a beautiful broad flan. Mint state.
