PTOLEMAIC KINGDOM. Ptolemy I, as satrap. (323–305/4 BC). Silver 
tetradrachm (17.22 gm). Memphis, ca. 316 BC. Head of deified 
Alexander right with horn of Ammon, wearing elephant headdress and 
aegis around neck / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle 
on right hand and scepter in left, thunderbolt in left field, OP 
under throne. Zervos Issue B-VIII. Svoronos 24. Nicely toned. 
Graffito between head of Zeus and eagle and a few old nicks in 
reverse left field. Very fine.
