   Ptolemaic Egypt, Ptolemy II, 283-246 BC, AR tetradrachm, (13.27g)
[ ]Sidon Mint, Phoenicia, Diademed head of Ptolemy I as Zeus right, with[ ]
   aegis at neck. / PTOLEMAIOY BASILEWS Eagle standing left, on
   thunderbolt, SI monogram before. S7772 var. VF, edge defect as made.

   Ex-Shipwreck c. 240 BC, found on the coast of Lebanon. From a group
   of tetradrachms of Ptolemy I, II and III, mostly from Sidon and Tyre
   mints. The latest dated issue in the group is from Year 1 of Ptolemy
   III, which was 246/5 BC. Full weight of a tetradrachm of this time
   should be 14.2g.
