Parion in Mysia (Asia Minor), c. 480 B.C., AR Hemidrachm (12 mm) (2.71
grams), F+, Sear 3918. Obv. Gorgoneion. Rev. Incuse square. The coin is
gray, with a brownish tinge in the recesses. It has a fairly nice depiction
of the gorgoneion, with clear features, but it is weak on the chin and
mouth.
