Byzantium. drachm. (S1581) Heifer l/Incuse
millsail. silver. Grade:VF
'357-340 B.C.: Obv.: Heifer left, Greek
letters above and below/Rev.: incused
millsail. The heifer is known to stand on a
dolphin on other specimens, but the base
cannot be seen on this coin. Byzantium later
became Constantinople and is today known as
Istanbul. It is located at a strategic point
on the Bosphorus. [L534363]
