                                Description

     VETRANIO. Maiorina struck in 350 AD in Siscia. DN VETRA-NIO PF
     AVG Laureate bust right. A and * in field. CONCORDIA MILITUM
     Emperor diademed and in military dress standing facing, head
     left, above him a star. In each hand he hold a standard with Chi
     Ro. SIS in exergue, A in field. EXTREMLY FINE, Patina, streak on
     obverse (see scan). During the rebellion of Magnentius, the
     Illyrian army proclaims his commander, VETRANIO,emperor in
     03/350. In the same year, VETRANIO formally abdicated for
     CONSTANTIUS II. Cohen 1 (25 F); SEAR Roman Coins 1988 n°4041 (225
