            Helena, Mother of Constantine I. (). Reduced billon follis (3.58 
            gm). Thessalonica, 318-319 AD. HELE – NA N F, draped bust right, 
            seen from front / Laurel wreath enclosing eight-pointed star. RIC 50 
            (R2). Cohen 14 (100 Fr.). Black patina. Extremely fine. 

            This coin and the similar coin for Fausta are remarkable for having 
            been struck only at the mint of Thessalonica, and also for sometimes 
            bearing the mintmark .TS.A but sometimes omitting it, as on this 
            specimen.
