                 NIGRINIAN Antoninianus VERY RARE!!! VF!!!

     Quality: VF / black patina, slightly rough surface-(see
     scan).Crisp legends.

     Obverse: DIVO NIGRINIANO ; Radiated head, right.

     Reverse: CONSECRATIO ; Eagle, standing, facing, head left.

     Refernces: Cohen, 2. ; R.I.C. 472.

     Comments: Nigrinian is known only for few coins struck after his
     death. All of them are considered very rare or extremely rare.
     For the last few years it has become even harder to see a
     Nigrinian offered somewhere. The coin is in very fine condition
     and the legends are very clear. For its rarity, in this condition
     it is a very attractive piece. Since it is oval(as most of his
     antoniniani are) the size of the coin is in the 20-24mm range.
     This particular coin has been valued really high on all the
     auctions that it has been offered. Priced To SELL Take advantage
     of that opportunity. If you have not acquired a piece like that
     yet, now is the time. Coins like this one sell fast and your
     chances to come across another one like that are getting smaller
     and smaller, the more you wait. Add something very rare to your
     collection or upgrade a previous sample.

     Nigrinian is believed to be unlawful son of Carinus. It is a
     theory that the reason for his early death is his step-mother,
     Magula Urbica. He is known for the very few coin struck after his
     death. His coins are considered very scarce by all the
     collectors.
