Obv.: Radiate bust of Vabalathus right/Laureled bust Aurelian right. Light green patina on bronze surfaces that formerly held silvering. Vabalathus was ruler of the Palmyrene sessionist empire and later allied with Roman Emperor Aurelian, with whom he shares this coin. The two later fought, Aurelian winning and Vabalathus being dragged off to Rome in chains.
