                                Description

     Aurelian A.D. 270-275, AE Antoninianus (23mm), F++

     Obverse: Cuirassed and radiate bust of the emperor facing right,
     IMP AVRELIANVS AVG in the legend.

     Sol standing right with foot on captive, with ORIENS AVG (Rising
     Sun (of the emperor)) in the legend. XXIA in the exergue (21 of
     this denomination to the aureus).

     Coin is well centered with a brown patina. Struck on a very large
     flan, with very clear devices. The shortcoming with this coin is
     even wear, a weak strike on SOL on the reverse, and a small flan
     crack at 6 o’clock on the obverse.

     Similar to Sear (4th.Edition) #3261, but has one captive instead
     of two and different obverse legend..
