     Claudius II Gothicus AD 268-270 Antoninianus Sear3197 Annona
     standing left foot on prow reverse. Claudius became one of the
     leading generals under Valerian and Gallienus. It is thought that
     he had part in the assassination of Gallienus which made him
     become emperor. In 269 he marched against a large army of Goths
     and though hopelessly outnumbered, he won a brilliant victory
     over the invaders in a great battle fought in Upper Moesia. Buyer
