               Byzantine coins, a few exciting modern world

               encountered U.S. exonumia lots including a
               pre-charge card 'charge tag'.
Lot: 9   Rome. Ancient. Julia Domna.
antoninianus. (S1867) J.Domna/Venus seated.
silver. Grade:EF
'211-217 A.D.: This is the Venus Genetrix
reverse but without Cupid at her feet.
Although Julia Domna was the wife of
Septimius Severus this coin was struck under
her son, Caracalla. Well struck, litle wear,
nice centering and well silvered surfaces.
