            Alexius I, Comnenus. (1081-1118 AD). Electrum histamenon nomisma 
            (4.49 gm). Thessalonica. + KE RÈ AËES, facing bust of Christ, 
            wearing nimbus cruciger, pallium and colobium, holding book of 
            Gospels with both hands; to left, IC; to right, XC, with line above 
            each / Saint Demetrius on left standing three-quarter facing to 
            right, presenting patriarchal cross on globus and two steps to 
            Alexius on right, standing facing; the saint, nimbate, wearing 
            military attire and holding sword in left hand; the emperor wearing 
            crown and loros and grasping shaft of labarum with right hand; to 
            left, ÄI MI TI P; to right, Ä EC Ð I T H. Hendy pl. 1, 10-12. Sear 
            1905. Extremely fine.
