            Constantinople, c. 692-695 AD. [IhS CRI]STOS REX RE[JNANTIUM], 
            facing bust of Christ, with long hair and full beard, wearing 
            pallium and colobium, raising right hand in benediction, holding 
            book of Gospels in left hand, cross behind head / D IUST[INI]ANUS 
            SER[V ChRI]STI, Justinian standing facing, wearing crown and loros, 
            holding akakia and cross potent on base. DO 14. Sear 1256. Extremely 
            rare. First portrait of Christ on a tremissis. Unusually well struck 
            especially for these small denominations. Mint state.
