                                Description

     Tiberius II Constantine King of the Byzantine Empire (578-582)
     gold Solidus (4.52 gms, 20 mm) in good Very Fine. The obverse has
     the crowned facing to chest figure of Tiberius II constantine
     holding a globe cruciate and shield. The reverse consists of a
     Cross Potent on FOUR steps with the legend VICTORIA AVGGB. The
     exergue legend is CONOB, signifying the coin was struck at the
     Constantinople mint. Reference Sear 422. Estimated at $325,
     starting at $225 and sold without further reserve. Postage paid
     for US buyers (International buyers pay actual postage). The
