     Obv: Turreted head of Cybele, forepart of lion behind, globe
     before. CESTIANVS behind.
     Rev: Curule chair, snake. M. PLAETORIVS AED CVR EX SC around.
     Grade: Attractively toned aEF
     Towards the end of the Second Punic War (218-201 BC, against
     Hannibal), the Romans brought the cult of Magna MAter/Cybele from
     Asia Minor to Rome; the actual entrance of the goddess to the
     city, as described by Livy, was apparently quite dramatic!
