  right, caduceus and I behind / Ulysses walking right, his dog before; C. MAMIL
  behind, LIMETAN before. Mamilia 6; Sydenham 741; Crawford 362/1. Toned good VF, a
  couple serrations broken. Estimate $150.



  Both the obverse and reverse type of this coin refer to the lineage of the Mamilia
  family. The Mamilia gens claimed their descent from Mamilia, the daughter of
  Telegonus, who was the son of Ulysses, who was a descendant of Mercury.
