  L. Lucretius Trio. 74 BC. AR Denarius (3.76 gm). Laureate head of Neptune right,
  trident over shoulder; TXVI above / L. LVCRETI/TRIO in two lines, infant Genius
  riding dolphin right. Crawford 390/2; Sydenham 784; Lucretia 3. VF, banker's mark and
  light grafitti on obverse, small nick at edge of flan at 9 o'clock on reverse.
  Estimate $100.



  The reverse type may refer to an ancestor of the moneyer, C. Lucretius Gallus, who
  was created duumvir navalis in 181 BC and later commanded the Roman fleet against
  Perseus of Macedon.
