                                Description

     This piece was minted circa 91 BC under the authority of the
     moneyer D. Silanus L.f. The obverse type depicts the head of Roma
     facing right, with letter behind. The reverse type features
     Victory in biga right, number above, with legends
     D.SILAVNVS.L.F./ROMA in the exergue. Coin is struck on a smallish
     flan, and shows several banker's marks, but otherwise grades F,
     with mostly clear devices and legends where struck up. A decent
     and very affordable example of the type, catalouged as Junia 15.
     All coins guaranteed genuine without limitation. Buyer pays
     postage/insurance, coin shipped on clearance of funds. PA
     residents please add appropriate sales tax. MC/Visa accepted for
