                                Description

     This piece was minted circa 123 BC under the authority of the
     moneyer M. Fannius C.f. The obverse type depicts the head of Roma
     facing right, star below chin and ROMA behind. The reverse
     features Victory in quadriga right, with ligatured legends
     M.FAN.C.F. in the exergue. Coin grades a nice VF, with clear to
     bold devices and legends all around. A pleasing example of this
     early type Republican AR denarius. This piece is catalouged as
     Fannia 1. All coins guaranteed genuine without limitations. Buyer
     pays postage/insurance, coin shipped on clearance of funds. PA
