Anonymous, Æ as, (c. 255g) Aes Grave As, c. 240-225 BC. Head of Janus, I
above. / Prow right. Thurlow-Vecchi 51; Crawford 35/1; Haeberlin pl. 12-13;
BMCRR (Rome) 1. VF, heavy but original green patina. The early cast Roman
bronzes weighed nearly 12 uncia, a full Roman pound. An interesting
paper-weight sized coin.
