Rev.: "PROVINCIA DACIA" Dacia, holding branch and scepter,standing left, between Eagle on left, and lion. In ex.: "AN V" This coin is dated to 251 A.D. AN V in the reverse refers to the era dating from Phillip I's victorius Danubian campaign of 246 AD. Volusian was the son of Trebonianus Gallus, and was elevated to the rank of Augustus in 251 AD after the death of Hostillian. This coin is a rough, but legible example of a somewhat scarce emperor.
