     Vitellius, Æ sestertius, (28.76g) Rome Mint, 69 AD, A VITELLIVS
     GERM IMP AVG P TR P Laureate head right. / MARS [V]ICTOR Mars
     striding left, holding Victory and trophy, large S C at sides.
     RIC167 (R2, referencing only the BN specimen); BMC-; BN 121 (same
     obverse die); Hunter -; Mazzini -; Cohen 58. Nicely centered Near
     EF, Tiber tone, with attractive tan and brown contrast.

     Extremely rare variety. Rare obverse die, with only the BN
     specimen traceable in the major collections. Rare head only
     obverse with no drapery. Bold, large portrait, of top style,
     which encompasses much of the obverse.
