This coin is remarkable not only because it is countermarked by the same authority who issued it, which is extraordinary in itself, but because it is dated to Vespasian's fourth consulship (72 AD) with a legend which has not previously been recorded until just recently (see Annual Report of the American Numismatic Society 1991, p. 13, fig. 14; also, CNG 45, 18 March 1998, lot 1965, with this same countermark).
