Mintmark RP (?) in exergue. AE version of RIC 10d (siliqua) Possibly an AE test strike of the siliqua RIC IX 10d; RSC 91h; Sear -. There are no bronze "VOT V MVLT X" types recorded at all, from any mint, for Valens. Test strikes to test the appearance of new dies were often used on bronze flans. This is perhaps one of them.
