Constantinopolis in AD 366/367 - after the fall of PROCOPIUS (May 366) and
before the elevation of GRATIAN (August 367) DN VALENS - PF AVG Rosette
diademed bust right / VOT/V in a laurel wreath *C.Delta in exergue VERY
FINE +, Portrait, with little shock and torsion on edge (see scan) This
coin is UNPUBLISHED in RIC (vol. IX - see pages 212 213 for siliquae) : the
exergues with * are only recorded with VOT/./V on reverse (not VOT/V) and
idem for ROSETTE diademed bust (not pearl diademed). For datation, authors
of RIC date the * in mint marks on the vota siliquae of Constantinopolis
after the fall of PROCOPIUS (RIC IX page 200)
