                                Description

     C. Messius Quintus Traianus Decius was born in A.D. 201 at
     Budalia in Lower Pannonia. He was governor of Lower Moesia from
     A.D. 234-238. When Philip I and his son was killed in battle at
     Verona in A.D. 249, Trajan Decius became sole emperor. Much of
     his reign was spent in defending the northern frontier against
     the barbarians. He was defeated and killed together with his son
     Herennius Etruscus in a battle against the Goths at Abrittus in
     A.D. 251.

     Obverse: IMP C M Q TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG, draped radiate bust right

     Reverse: VBERITAS AVG, Uberitas standing left, holding purse and
     cornucopiae
     Mintmark: none (Roma)
     Condition: EF, some obverse weakness
