               bronze coins including those from or
               referencing Judaea, issues of Armenia, nice
               coins of Greek city-states and Roman coins
               including some very collectible issues of
               the 12 Caesars. All are illustrated. Browse,

Lot: 38   Rome. Ancient. Roman Bostra.
Trajan. drachm. (Bostra) Capture of Arabia.
Trajan/Arabia and camel. silver. Grade:VF
'98-117 A.D. Obv.: Bust of Trajan
right/Rev.: Arabia stands left with camel.
This coin was struck to the same standard as
the denarius, however being struck at a
provincial Mint it was known as a drachm.
The obverse legend is in Latin with reverse
in Greek. Considering that Trajan turned his
attentions to the East in 113 A.D. this coin
was probably struck late in his reign.
