About very fine The father of the emperor Trajan enjoyed a successful public career, crowned by a consulship ca. AD 70. He died very early in his son's reign, but was not deified until AD 115. This aureus, struck in the year of his consecration, honors both of Trajan's deified fathers, his biological father and his adoptive father, the late emperor Nerva. Estimated Value: $ 7,500 ...
