Offered here with NO RESERVE is a Trajan Ae As minted in Rome in 103-110 A.D. with the DANUBE BRIDGE reverse! The front of this coin depicts Trajan's laureated and draped bust facing right. The reverse depicts a single-span bridge with tower at each end and boat beneath. Although commonly thought to be the "Danube Bridge", considered the principal engineering feat of the Dacian Wars; a more probable suggestion is that the bridge shown is the ancient Pons Sublicius. The coin is evenly worn with scattered black patina. All main devices are clear and the bridge, both towers at either end, and even the boat in the river beneath can be seen! RIC-569. A RARE and desirable coin! NO RESERVE! Postage and handling is $5.00! ----------------------------------------------------------------- On Jul-06-00 at 12:41:13 PDT, seller added the following information: FREE Counters, Image Hosting, Listing Tools, Message Boards from Honesty.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Image]Bidding If you're the seller or the high bidder - now what? 1.
