                                Description

     An attractive, rare piece (the 1988 Sear catalog lists it at 150
     British Pounds: about $250 US), the scans do not do it justice.
     The reverse of this coin reads "DIVVUS PATER TRAJAN" and shows
     Trajan's deified father seated, holding a patera (offering dish)
     and a sceptre. The obverse shows the bust of his son the Emperor.
     Buyer pays $3.50 insured shipping within the USA. $4.00
     elsewhere. THERE IS NO RESERVE!

     On 07/12/99 at 22:06:51 PDT, seller added the following
     information:

     The scans definately do NOT do this coin justice. The surface is
     smooth, NOT grainy like the scans show. The color is MUCH better
     too and the details are much clearer. One of these days I will
     have to buy a better digital camera.
