Description

     This piece was minted circa 106 AD, during the reign of Trajan,
     who ruled from 98-117 AD. The empire reached its greatest
     geographic extent under Trajan, the direct result of his many
     military triumphs. The obverse of this type depicts the laureate
     head of Trajan facing right, with legends
     IMP.TRAIANO.AVG.GER.DAC.P.M.TR.P. The reverse type features
     Victory, naked to hips, standing right, foot on step, inscribing
     the legend DA CI CA on a shield set on a palm stump, with legends
     COS.V.P.P.SPQR.OPTIMO.PRINC. This type was one of a series minted
     to commemorate Trajan's victory over the Dacians, and the
     annexation of Dacia to the empire. Coin shows a dark spot beneath
     the bust, but otherwise grades F, with clear devices and most
     legends visible. A very decent example of this scarcer type,
     catalouged as RSC-80a. All coins guaranteed genuine without
     limitations. Buyer pays postage/insurance, coin shipped on
