Description [Take me to the Barry & Darling Home Page] B&D Home Marketplace Collectors Superb, High Relief Titus Denarius Information Attribution: Contact Us RSC 121 variant, RIC Vespasian 366 variant, minted at Antioch circa 72-73 AD Online Obverse : Ancient Coin 'T. CAES. IMP. VESP. PON. TR. POT.' with his laureate, draped and cuirassed bust Dealers right, seen from behind. since 1997. Reverse : 'NEP. RED.' (note reversed 'N') with Neptune standingleft, foot on globe, holding an acrostolium (aplustre) and sceptre. Grade : gVF/gVF - EF ultra high relief portrait Notes : A major variant of RIC 366 and RSC 121 with the reversed N in the reverse inscription. This coin features a truly wonderful portrait on the obverse and a detailed, high relief Neptune on the reverse. The only defect to note is the small flan which causes some of the inscriptions to be off flan. Note the image does not adequately show the extremely high relief and wonderful detail.
