     Solidus of Theodosius II for your consideration. This scarcer
     late Roman gold coin is well centered and well struck on both
     sides, but it does show some wear on the high points. Of
     particular interest is the fact that this coin was minted at
     Thessalonica and is a much more difficult variety to acquire. The
     coin still maintains a high luster which our photo does not
     capture.
