Struck 228 AD. Laureate,  draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind
/ Severus  standing left, sacrificing from  patera over altar, holding roll
in left hand. RIC IV 484 var. (just draped); BMCRE 467; Cohen 358. Good VF,
dark  green patina  with traces  of silver  plating, surfaces a  bit rough,
broad medallic flan. ($750)
