     Severus Alexander, 222-235 AD, AV aureus, (5.93g) Dated to Ninth
     year = 230 AD, Rome Mint, IMP SEV ALE XAN AVG  Laureate head
     right, with slight drapery over left shoulder. / P M TR P VIIII
     COS III P P  Romulus (?) advancing right, bearing trophy and
     spear.  RIC100b(Rare).  Lustrous Mint State, nicely centered on a
     full flan and excellent style.  Minor adhesions on reverse left
     edge. While this reverse type is described as Romulus in RIC, the
     facial features visible on this coin resemble those of the
     emperor.
