Septimus Severus denarius - trophy & captives


     Septimus Severus, 193-211 CE, silver denarius, 19-17mm. Obverse :
     SEVERUS PIUS AUG. - laureate bust right. Reverse : PART. MAX.
     P.M. TR. P. VIIII. - trophy with two captives at base seated back
     to back. Grade gVF/aVF. Nice portrait in high relief, silver very
     slightly grainy. Excellent detail and well executed with a
     popular reverse type. Ref. RSC 370
