                                Description

     This piece was minted in honor of Romulus, the infant son of
     Maxentius, who ruled from 306-312 AD. Romulus died in 309 AD, and
     all of his coins are posthumous. The obverse of this type depicts
     the bare head of Romulus facing right, with legends
     IMP.MAXENTIVS.DIVO.ROMVLO.N.V.FILIO. The reverse features an
     ornately decorated temple with domed roof, surmounted by an
     eagle, with legends AETERNAE.MEMORIAE. The mint/oficina mark REP
     appears in the exergue. Coin shows a bit of striking weakness,
     which is most evident in the upper left portion of the temple,
     but otherwise grades AVF, with clear to bold devices and legends
     where struck up. A pleasing example of the type, catalouged as
     RIC-249, and listed as Rare.All coins guaranteed genuine without
     limitations. Buyer pays postage/insurance, coin shipped on
