Pulcheria, Constantinople, AE3/4 AEL PVL-CHERIA AVG, Diademed coiffed bust with facing shoulders. SALVS REI-PVBLICAE, Victory seated right, leaning forward inscribing chi-rho on shield which rests on small column. mintmark CONSA Ref: RIC X 420 Notes: I bought this on EBay, advertised as of Eudoxia. Taking note of the rough style and lack of Manus Dei above the bust, I bit. Nobody else bid, so I got it for USD .99 + post! In hand, the legend is 90% legible and the flan generous, though the coin is pierced. All in all, I claim bragging rights. Contributed by Doug Spangle, Nov. 2010
