                          PROBUS, Emperor, AD 276-282.

                               Bronze Antoninianus

         Obverse: IMP.PROBVS AVG, His radiated and cuirassed bust right.
        Reverse:ADVENTVS AVG, PROBVS on horseback left raising his right
                                      hand
           holding sceptre, a captive seated in front of the horse. R
                          thunderbolt Delta in exergue.
           Reference: Sear 3338 var.Grade: Very Fine/Choice Very fine.
           Comments: Good portrait. Nice reverse. Large planchet. Well
          centered. Oxydized silver patina. Light surface corrosion at
                           cleaning. Good eye appeal.

               Refers to the arrival of Probus in Rome in AD 277.
