  Circa 65 AD. DIVA POPPAEA AVG, distyle temple with seated figure of Poppaea / DIVA
  CLAVDIA NER, hexastyle temple with figure of Nero. RPC I 4846. Fine, black and
  earthen patina. Rare. Estimate $300.

  The only coin issued in the name of Claudia, Nero's daughter, who died in infancy in
  63 AD. Poppaea, her mother, was kicked to death by Nero two years later. Site finds
  support an attribution to Panias (modern Banias), and Agrippa II re-named the city
  Neronias in 61 AD, an attempt to curry imperial favor that did not outlast Nero
  himself.
