The reverse of this denarius shows Minerva standing with a
        spear and holding a eagle. There are a couple of letters missing
        from the reverse legend as a result of striking weakness at that
        point, and there is a small depression on Niger's neck that may
        have been indiginous to the flan as it was not caused by impact.
         Most of the denarii of the fellow are beyond pathetic and this
        one is a very respectable example with an excellent portrait and
        everything present on a nicely centered obverse. I haven't seen
        coins of this rarity except in the super catalogue auctions,
