Under Domitian the collection of this Jewish tax often involved humiliating public exposure of the genitals (in order to establish Jewish identity). One of Nerva's early acts was to abolish this method of tax collection, a reform advertised on the reverse of this sestertius. Estimated Value: $ 2,500 ...
