            sestertius (27.22 gm). Rome, 42-43 AD. NERO CLAVDIVS DRVSVS 
            GERMANICVS IMP, bare head of Drusus left / TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P 
            M TR P IMP P P S C, Claudius, togate and holding branch, seated left 
            on curule chair resting on globe, against which leans a sword; the 
            emperor places foot on cuirass; scattered at his feet and under 
            chair are also several shields, spears and a helmet. BMCRE 208. CBN 
            198. Cohen 8 (10 Fr.). RIC 109. Toned Tiber patina. Excellent 
            detail. Good very fine.
