Roma seated left on ornate cuirasse holding transverse spear in left hand, Victoria in right hand (extended). Various shields (including a Roman scutum) in the background; in the foreground, a shield with the Gorgoneion (Aegis). Note also the detail in Roma's caligae (military boots; see also below). Condition: Both sides approach a full EF, in good style; there is a slight roughness around the edges, a shallow spot before Nero's face, a thin flancrack (best seen at 7:00 on the reverse), and evidence of minor smoothing below the word ROMA. The coin has a dark brown tone.
